The Lord Lieutenant of Surrey Mrs Sarah Goad joined dignitaries at Redhill Territorial Army Centre to honour members of the Reserve Forces and Cadet Movements, including Lieutenant Commander John Horner, in an awards ceremony.
Lt Commander Horner, 54, from Redhill, who parades with Reigate Sea Cadet Corps, was among those presented with the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey's Meritorious Service Certificate.
The certificates thank the county's volunteer reservists and cadets for their service and Mrs Goad paid tribute to their work and commitment to the Territorial Army.
