A man has been assaulted after an altercation with a group of men.

The incident happened outside Q's snooker hall on Queensway in Redhill in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police said an altercation broke out between the victim, a man in his 20s, and a group of men at the location.

The victim received a cut to his head following the assault. Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service treated him at the scene before being taken to hospital. He was later discharged.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses of the attack at around 1.20am on Saturday, December 13.

 

Investigating officer PC Andy Bridgman, said: “I believe there would have been many people in the vicinity when the altercation and subsequent assault occurred and I would appeal to these people to come forward and speak with police.
