Plans to redevelop land at Eversfield Court, Reigate have been inspected by residents at a public exhibition.
Retirement builder McCarthy & Stone had invited more than 1000 homes and stakeholders from the surrounding area but only a small number attended.
The company is still processing the feedback of those 28, with the plans involving the building of 38 one and two bedroom retirement living apartments.
A McCarthy and Stone representative said: “We need to ensure that what we build is what our customers, as well as the local community, would like to see in Reigate.
“Our aim is to provide a sensitive development.”
The statement went on to affirm that thus far the company was encouraged by the feedback it had received at the event, which took place at The Catholic Church of the Holy Family in Yorke Road.
Anyone who was unable to attend the exhibition and would like more information can contact the company’s freephone number on 0800 298 7040.
