A new-style local service at Woodhatch Post Office will open later this month.
The Post Office will open the store at 1 Prices Street, in Reigate, on Friday 24 October at 1pm
The service will be provided at a combination counter in the store, where the Post Office terminal will sit alongside the retail till. It will be available during the store’s opening hours Monday to Saturday: 5am to 5:30pm; Sunday: 5am to 12:30pm.
This is an extra 24 hours a week including Sunday morning and earlier opening hours every day. This makes it more convenient for customers to visit.
Woodhatch Post Office needs to close for refurbishment on Tuesday 14 at 5:30pm.
Alternative branches include:
• Reigate Post Office, 27 - 29 High Street, Reigate, RH2 9AA
• Linkfield Corner Post Office, 13 Linkfield Corner, Redhill, RH1 1BD
Customers will be able to access a wide range of Post Office and mails services, including Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.
Other services include withdrawals using a Post Office Card Account, send funds abroad using Moneygram, and customers can pay bill, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.
David Gold, Area Manager, said: “We know how important Post Office services are to residents in Reigate and we are confident this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the community will be popular.
"The modernisation is part of a major Government investment programme that is enabling us to continue investing in the Post Office network and to map out a bold growth strategy to the end of the decade.”
