Plans have been unveiled for a new £10 million university technical college (UTC) in Surrey focused on training the next generation of engineers and digital professionals.
The proposal for a new ‘careers college’ in Guildford, catering for up to 800 students from Surrey, London and Hampshire, is contained in a Surrey County Council report.
It has come after the county council helped to cut the number of young people in Surrey registered as not in education, employment or training (NEETS) to a national low.
