Two pubs in Reigate are teaming up to hold a six-day festival of ales and spirits.
Sister pubs The Bell in Bell Street and The Roe Deer in Croydon Road will be holding the Great British Ale and Spirit Festival, to celebrate local and British ales and spirits, from Wednesday, April 30, through to Monday, May 5.
The Bell will be featuring a large variety of ales from local brewers and coastal towns, while The Roe Deer will feature spirits produced by small independent distilleries, as well as more recognisable brands. With the aim of the festival being to celebrate and educate, customers will be able to taste a range of produce with ale tastings at The Bell and a specialist spirits cocktail menu at The Roe Deer. Local companies collaborating and supporting the event include Pilgrim Brewery, The Tinderbox, and local artisan carpenter Wyer Works. Events will include an exclusive evening with Sipsmith Independent Spirits on Thursday, May 1, and a family day on Saturday, May 3, both at The Roe Deer, while there will be a quiz at The Bell on Thursday, May 1, and a music night there on Friday, May 2.
Proceeds over the course of the Bank Holiday weekend will be donated to local charity, Stripey Stork.
