The Reigate Society, the civic society for Reigate, Redhill and Merstham, will host a talk given by Alison Murphy on the measures Sutton and East Surrey Water has to take to ensure an adequate water supply, and the likely effects of population growth and climate change, at Reigate Methodist Community Centre, behind Reigate Methodist Church in High Street, Reigate, next Thursday (March 27) at 8.15pm. Visitors attending the meeting, the society's last open meeting of the season, will find out how both shortages and surpluses of water are managed in the area, what can be done to help at home, and will also be able to ask questions about the new main pipeline being laid from Outwood to Buckland.
