Detectives from the East Surrey Proactive Unit are appealing for help to trace a woman who they believe holds information vital to a burglary investigation.

The officers are trying to trace a woman who flagged down police near to Jason Close in Salfords, after she had seen two men acting suspiciously in the Woodhatch Road area. The incident happened shortly after 3pm on Tuesday, March 4.

The woman told the officers she believed the two men were being chased by a third man, before they got into a car.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Julie Daubeney, said: “We need to trace this lady as a matter of urgency, as we believe she has information vital to our investigation.

“This incident was fast-paced and unfortunately, the officer had to leave the lady to pursue the suspects, therefore was unable to get her contact details.

“If you are the person we would like to speak to, or you know who she is, please contact us.”

Det Con Daubeney said: “All information passed to us will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”

The woman was described as white with blonde hair and was driving a small dark-coloured hatchback car.

Anyone who can help detectives with their investigation is urged to call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference 45140016674.
