Police are appealing for witnesses after two men and a woman were assaulted in Redhill town centre.
Officers from East Surrey CID are investigating the serious assault outside McDonalds in Station Road last Wednesday (January 29).
The attack carried out by two people happened at around 9.30pm.
A Surrey Police spokeswoman said: “One of the victims was stamped on and had her hair pulled out. “She required hospital treatment at East Surrey Hospital, but has since been discharged.”
She said: “The other two suffered minor injuries.”
Investigating officer Dave Evans, said: "This was a violent assault and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with information, as it may be vital to our investigation.
"At this stage in our investigation we believe that the victims and the offenders are known to each other and that this was a targeted rather than a random assault.”
The spokeswoman said a man and a woman, both aged in their 30s, were arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident. They have been released on police bail until Thursday, February 13, while the investigation continues.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference 45140007422. Alternatively, people can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
