Five people have been arrested after a taxi driver was assaulted near Horley.
Surrey Police said the five, two men and three women aged in their late teens, were arrested in connection with an attack on a taxi driver in Hookwood in the early hours of Saturday, December 21.
The driver had picked up passengers outside the Moka nightclub in Crawley, and had then driven them to the Black Horse pub in Reigate Road, Hookwood.
But it was there that he was assaulted at around 2.15am.
A Surrey Police spokeswoman said the five have been released on police bail until Saturday, February 1, while the investigation continues.
