Shetland pony trapped in ditch in Hookwood

Firefighters from the Horley-based West Sussex Fire Service Technical Rescue Unit joined colleagues from Reigate rescuing a Shetland pony in Hookwood.

The pony had become trapped in a ditch at a farm in Charlwood Road shortly before 8am this morning.

The firefighters used specialist animal rescue equipment to rescue the pony and reunite it with its owner.
