Two men have been remanded in custody in connection with postal thefts in East Surrey, including in Reigate, Woking and Weybridge.
The men, Victor Odesola, 37, and Olukayode Akinleye, 34, both of Bradbourne Road, Grays in Essex, appeared at South East Surrey Magistrates Court in Redhill at the weekend.
They were both charged with conspiracy to defraud the central bank following a number of thefts of mail.
They were remanded in custody and are next due to appear at South West Surrey Magistrates Court in Guildford on Thursday, February 14.
