Teenager arrested in Reigate burglary investigation

A teenager has been arrested following a burglary in Reigate.

The occupant of the house in Crescent Road returned home following a short walk around midday on Tuesday, January 8, to find her home had been broken into.

Jewellery and cash had been stolen.

A Surrey Police spokeswoman said: “Various units, including uniformed officers, the dog unit and CCTV unit, carried out a thorough search of the area and a 14-year-old boy was arrested in Woodhatch a short time later.”

She said: “He has been released on police bail until Wednesday, January 30, while the investigation continues.”
