Horley pub encourages its regulars to grow a 'tache' for charity
12:43pm Monday 29th October 2012 in News
Regulars and staff at The Farmhouse pub in Horley will be showing a stiff - and bushy - upper lip from this week in support of a worldwide charity event.
The Farmhouse in Ladbroke Road, Langshott, is encouraging its staff and customers to grow a moustache as part of the 'Movember' fundraising event.
Movember encourages all males to grow a moustache during the month of November to raise money for men's health awareness, and in particular, in support of prostate and testicular cancer charities.
The Farmhouse, which is renaming itself the 'Farmousche' for the event, will be launching its fundraising from midnight this Wednesday (October 31) when all participants will be starting November clean shaven.
And on Thursday, 'Movember' 29, the pub will hold a special evening when prizes will be awarded for the best and the worst moustaches, and for the person raising the most money, with music provided by the moustached duo, Catch 22.
All funds raised will go to The Institute of Cancer Research and Prostate Cancer UK. For more details visit the website: uk.movember.com and enter 'the farmousche' in the search box.
