A home care provider is creating up to 50 jobs for people living across Reigate and Banstead borough and Mole Valley district.
The jobs boost has come from Caremark Mid Surrey, which is creating the new posts with flexible part-time hours, full induction and initial training, and a range of hourly rates.
The provider, which is based in Fetcham, is part of the Caremark Limited network of franchised offices operating throughout the UK.
Caremark Limited has more than 20 years’ experience in providing care and support to people living in their own homes.
Laura Reeves, managing director of Caremark Mid Surrey, said: “We are a relatively new franchise and as we pick up new clients we need the care staff to look after them.
“We are starting to recruit now.”
Mrs Reeves said: “I am committed to providing an ethical and well-run care option to a vast array of people in Mole Valley and Reigate and Banstead, and we need to attract the best quality carers to allow us to fulfil this ambition.”
She said: “By offering job creation in these difficult times it means that we will be able to continue providing a high level of care to a range of people who are vulnerable and need to be properly looked after.”
She said: “The care industry generally gets a bad press, but we are looking to show that we take our role seriously and that we place a great importance on our staff, who we fully train and support to give them a fulfilling job and give our customers excellent care.”
Mrs Reeves continued: “We offer a full range of services to our local community, and our staff will have the opportunity to work with different groups of people, from children, people with learning difficulties, and the elderly - all of whom have different requirements for their care.” Caremark Mid Surrey has said it will offer support to its care and support workers to study and obtain recognised qualifications in health and social care.
It is also offering further benefits including free uniform, ongoing training, development and supervision, and regular staff nights, allowing workers to provide feedback and to meet fellow carers.
