Redfest 2013 dates announced

Organisers of the Redfest music festival held near Redhill have announced the dates of next year's event.

For Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27, have been posted as the days for next year's seventh annual two-day festival.

This year's Redfest, held on land at Robins Cook Farm, saw its audience numbers rise further past the 2,000 mark.

The event, which aims to give a professional stage to up-and-coming acts and performers and which has in the past featured the likes of The Ordinary Boys, Newton Faulkner and Ed Sheeran, bucked the national trend by drawing a record attendance.

The festival organisers recently unveiled a special Halloween date which will see five of the July event's acts returning for a one-night gig at the Harlequin in Redhill on Friday, November 2, at 7pm.

Clement Marfo and the Frontline, Dive Bella Dive, Proxies, Hearts Under Fire and Critical State, will be going live.

Gig-goers must be aged 16-plus and take ID along.

Tickets are priced £10 in advance and are available through the Redfest website at: www.redfest.co.uk
