 |
| Children from Horley's schools received awards |
A school has been given a special award for collecting litter.
Reigate School received a platinum award in the borough's litter free school scheme for being the only secondary to win gold ten years in a row.
The scheme, now in its 14th year, encourages pupils to keep a tidy school environment and reminds them of the importance of keeping a clean environment in general.
Forty-seven schools took part and won 40 golds, five silvers and one bronze.
Julian Ellacott, borough councillor for the environment, said, "The achievement of the schools that have taken part is highly commendable.
"The achievement of Reigate School is particularly inspiring."
