Sir Ian books his seat in Horley
Actor Sir Ian McKellen will be in the audience for Horley's Archway Theatre Company's latest production.
The star will be at the 95-seat theatre in The Drive for an ambitious production of Sir Alan Ayckbourn's comic trilogy Damsels in Distress being staged by Archway Theatre with Lewes Theatre Club and The Oast Theatre from Tonbridge.
In the three-way production, the theatre companies will each be staging one of the trilogy's plays on different nights of the run from this Friday through to Saturday, July 26.
The production will then move on to be staged in Lewes and Tonbridge.
Andrew Cornell of the Archway Theatre Company said: "Sir Ian has booked his seat. We cannot say which performance he will be coming to.
"I believe he is only visiting our theatre."
Sir Ian is patron of the Little Theatre Guild, which the companies are members of.
Mr Cornell said Dame Judi Dench had also been invited but it was not yet known if she would attend.
