Boy, three, hit by motorbike

A BOY aged three has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a motorcycle on the A23 near Horley.

The accident happened at 3.30pm yesterday involving a blue Honda motorcycle on the Brighton road at the junction with The Avenue.

The boy was air-lifted to a London hospital with serious injuries. He is currently in a critical condition with internal bleeding and a serious head injury.

The motorcyclist was checked by paramedics at the scene but was not taken to hospital.

The A23 was closed for several hours, and reopened shortly before 9pm.

Any witnesses should call the Collision Investigation Unit on 01483 639922.
