| Epsom Light Opera Company perform The Witches Of Eastwick |
Epsom Light Opera Company will present a devil of a premier at Epsom Playhouse next week.
The company will be performing the South East amateur
premier production of The Witches Of Eastwick - with a full orchestra, principals and a 35-strong chorus - at the theatre in Ashley Avenue from Tuesday, October 14, to Saturday, October 18.
The show is directed by James Fortune, who has films and TV series to his name and is also a member of the Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star - one of only about 300 in the world.
The production is based on the popular movie, which starred Jack Nicholson and Cher. In keeping with its director's magic credentials, it will feature flying witches.
The chairman of the London Magic Circle, Scott Penrose, has been drafted in as an adviser.
He, like the show's director, has also worked in film and TV and in the West End.
Tickets for The Witches Of Eastwick cost from £14 to £16 and are available on 0208 7154048.
EPSOM Symphony Orchestra will perform its Autumn Classics concert, featuring Brahms' Symphony No 7 and Beethoven's Symphony No 5, with soloists violinist Michael Cwizewicz and cellist Liubov Ulybysheva, at Epsom Playhouse on Saturday, October 11, at 7.30pm. PINK Floyd tribute Perfect Alibi bring their show featuring more than two hours of the band's music, performed by a 12-strong company of musicians and singers, to The Harlequin, Redhill, on Saturday, October 11, at 8pm. Tickets from £14 on 01737 765547.
RICHIE Havens, one of the giants of the folk music world, will perform at The Hawth in Crawley on Saturday, October 11, at 8pm. Tickets at £17.50 on 01293 553636.

THE Opera Club of Reigate and Redhill will present heart-warming musical The Music Man at The Harlequin, Redhill, from Wednesday, October 15, to Saturday, October 18.
