THIS is a fairly small scale but often enjoyable romantic comedy that stars America's man of the moment, 40-Year-Old Virgin and The Office star Steve Carell as the eponymous hero.
Dan Burns is faced with double trouble - not only has he accidentally fallen in love with Marie (Juliette Binoche), his brother's new girlfriend, but he now has go through the ordeal of being close to her during the annual family reunion.
The widower and father of three girls, newspaper advice columnist thinks he will never find love again.
That is until he goes to his parents' Rhode Island house and meets the beautiful Marie in a book shop.

They flirt and hit it off although nothing happens.
But he soon discovers the object of his desires is actually involved with brother Mitch (Dane Cook) which leads to all kinds of awkward moments, embarrassment and plenty of slapstick fun and frolics along the way.
And while the "couple" try and suppress their true feelings for each other, it isn't long before Cupid finds his targets.
