Fly to Atlanta to board the coach for the transfer to your overnight hotel in Montgomery.
Head to New Orleans today for a two-night stay. Savour the beauty and romance of the South on board the Steamboat 'Natchez' on an optional excursion. Enjoy views of the New Orleans skyline, and a locally flavoured buffet dinner, as this elegant and authentic paddle steamer cruises the Mississippi and the renowned 'Dukes of Dixieland' play.
This morning's optional guided city tour introduces the 'Big Easy'. Don't miss the time-warped, iron-balconied buildings of the French Quarter, centred on Jackson Square. Afterwards, join our optional Louisiana swampland excursion for a glimpse of the city's surrounding countryside and a taste of Creole life.
Leaving New Orleans today you'll start your Elvis journey with a visit to Tupelo, where you might wish to visit the tiny house that was the star's birthplace (entrance not included). Afterwards, a short journey brings you to Elvis's beloved hometown, the bustling cotton capital of Memphis. This evening, soak up the atmosphere of colourful Beale Street.
Don't miss today's optional full-day Memphis Sounds excursion, which will include a visit to the famous Sun Studio, the recording birthplace of legends from Elvis to the mighty BB King, and to perhaps the most famous southern 'mansion' of all, Elvis's iconic Graceland.
Enjoy a scenic drive through the wooded Tennessee hills and farmland to Nashville, the world capital of country music.
An optional excursion introduces you to the Country Music Hall of Fame and the legendary Studio B, the starting point for more popular hits than any other recording studio in the USA. We'll then journey south to cheery Chattanooga, of Choo-Choo fame, for a one-night stay.
Spend the morning relaxing, then head to Atlanta Airport in the afternoon to board your flight home.
Arrive back home, after an overnight flight.
New Orleans Carnival
February 25th 2014 departures offer the chance to see the city pre-Mardi Gras. Enjoy the party atmosphere as decorated floats run through the streets, as they're readied for the big Shrove Tuesday annual celebration.
New Orleans By Night With Jazz excursion

Smoking is not permitted on any coach forming part of your holiday; regular stops will be made though for your comfort en route. The majority of hotels in North America are non-smoking throughout including in all bedrooms. In general smoking outside is acceptable, but do look out for signs prohibiting this close to public entrances or bus stops.
The American arrivals process
Most British Citizens travelling to the USA do not need a visa but must register online with US Immigration at least 72 hours before departure. A charge of $14US applies. We will send you the details, along with your tickets, about two weeks prior to travel. Any persons who have a criminal record or have ever been arrested, even if not charged, cannot use this process and must apply for a visa.
Gratuities are a way of life in North America, and it is generally accepted that they form part of a person's earnings. Customary gratuity to a coach driver or tour manager is about $5 per person per day; in a taxi or a restaurant leave 12-15 per cent of the bill and, in the bar, leave a dollar or so per drink.
