AT the most recent committee meeting of the League of Friends of Chard Hospital, it was decided not to hold the annual fete in the hospital grounds this year.
Instead a garden party with cream teas will be held at the home of the chairman, Mrs Nora Arnold, at Chapel Thatch, Holditch. This will take place on Saturday, June 9.
The League will still be selling tickets for the annual draw which will take place at the garden party.
It is hoped that members of the public will support the event. Over the last year, the League has contributed over £70,000 towards the updating of the hospital.
