THIS weekend sees the North Herfordshire Hunt point to point fixture at Whitwick Manor, Newtown near Hereford when an eight-race card is planed with a 12.30pm start on Saturday.
Amongst the twenty entries received for the Mens Open race are the quartet Ballylusky, Canon Bridge, Paddy for Paddy and Twenty Degrees and victory for either could be a precursor to a hunterchase outing later in the season.
The Hanley Swan stable of Andy Hobbs is hitting form and it would be no surprise to see his Springbrook Girl run well in the Confined race for owner Clive Hitchings, a race which has received an entry of thirty seven.
Also amongst the entries are the consistent Galway from the yard of Marilyn Scudamore, the veteran ex-chaser Samuel Wilderspin who scored between the flags last season, the improving Greensleeves and the previous Lady Dudley Cup winner Caught at Dawn.
The Ladies Open has attracted twenty eight entries including probable favourite Unmistakeably, The Wee Bishop, Coole Venture and Mondial Jack.
Thirty three entries have been received for the Mares Maiden race so a division is possible, whilst the Restricted and Maiden races have already been divided.
