A HELPLINE providing 24-hour support for victims of domestic abuse is now open.
The Wales Domestic Abuse Helpline has expanded its service and aims to help women, men and children who Elen Pierce, director of Welsh Women's Aid, said: "The 12 hour service has clearly served it's purpose, it's important to be accessible at all times of crisis - be it day or night."
Since its launch in April 2004, the helpline has received more than 20,000 calls, but also missed 4,000 calls due to its opening times of only 12 hours a day.
Anyone who is experiencing or witnessing abuse should call the helpline at any time of the day or night on 0808 80 10 800.
