CHILDREN from Tenbury Primary School, supervised by local artist Jim Bailey, are busy painting a backdrop for the stage at this year's carnival on Bank Holiday Monday, May 28. Funded by a grant from the Elmley Foundation, the stage will provide a focus for the event which will also include Tenbury's strongest man competition, tug-of-war, a barbecue, five-a-side soccer, quad bikes and live bands. Anyone wishing to enter a motorised float or join the walking procession can call carnival chairman George Price on 01584 810613.
