Katzenjammer, Tuesday July 4, 7.30pm, Wyven Theatre, Swindon.

Two student graduate pianists from the Royal College of Music, Steven Worbey and Kevin Farrell were sat in an empty flat one summer's afternoon with nothing but a piano, and a fridge full of chilled Chardonnay. As you would expect after a modest amount of wine, ideas were bantered around, music was played and Katzenjammer was born!

Why four hands and one piano you may ask?

Two pianos would have been a bit of a luxury and the idea of a piano stool each was just out of the question in the hard days of student life.

Kevin and Steven will amaze you with their own original blend of spectacular piano gymnastics and cheeky songs, all bound together with their unpredictable comic banter.

Having coming a long way from their student days, Kevin and Steven have performed at such venues as the Royal Opera House, the Royal Festival Hall and Blackpool Grand Theatre and also appear regularly on the QE2 and Queen Mary 2.

With cheeky comic timing they parody a whole range of musical styles, from the Spice Girls to Ragtime, while the resulting tangle of hands and arms on the keyboard is projected onto a large screen so that the mesmerising gymnastic display of their playing can be marvelled at.

You may be familiar with other clever and amusing piano performers like Victor Borge, Flanders and Swann or Hinge and Bracket, but you will never have seen a piano played like this before.
