BOLTON motorcycle racer, Lee Costello, has completed a successful season in which he won the 2006 ACU Star Championship.
The 20-year-old showed consistent quality to take the title after seven rounds which were staged on most of the racing circuits in the country.
Despite his youth, Lee is already a veteran rider after competing for eight years.
As well as winning the ACU Star Championship title on his 125cc Honda, he was also rewarded with the latest 2007 version of a 125cc Honda racing motorcycle In winning his championship, Lee crossed the line first in four of the seven rounds and was second in the other three.
He won the races at Oulton Park, Cadwell Park, Brands Hatch and Silverstone.
He also claimed four pole positions and set fastest laps at five of the circuits.
It is the latest in a string of successes for the local racer who has amassed more than 40 race wins, six championships and one runners-up spot.
He has also won five most improved rider awards.
Lee is training to become a civil engineer, but his ultimate aim is to race motorcycles professionally and he is looking to attract sponsorship to achieve his ambition.
