REIGNING champions KD 21 retained their title in the Kidderminster and District Cub Scout Football League with their star striker Dan Jackson finishing as top scorer with 19 goals.

KD15 were runners up while the best goalkeeper award went to Jack Brookes of KD7, who also won the most sporting team of the year.

Roy Bradley, of KD21, was the overall player of the year.

Organisers paid tribute to the players, parents, coaches and referees and thanked Sutton Park First School for the use of their pitch.

Aaron Harrington outscored fellow finalist Beth Billingham 3-1 in the annual penalty competition, sponsored by John Beard, after both players recorded maximum scores in the first round.

The scouts will next be involved in action in their five-a-side competition on May 20.
