WITH all the publicity being given to the World and its Environment, and everyone being asked to think Green, is it too much to ask, when you save your newspapers and bottles, that someone then comes along, on a given day, and removes the re-cycling materials?
For the past month, and having duly placed the bin in the appropriate position, we have then found at the end of the day that we have to bring the bin back, still full. On the first occasion we rang the Council, only to be told, sorry the wagon broke down. So the next pick up was two weeks away, it was not possible to arrange for a pick up before. WHY?
During the next two weeks we continued to collect, only to find yet again No Collection. No excuse this time, just a request to put out the bin on Monday. I have just brought the bin back still full.
I was thinking of requesting a Green Wheelie Bin (which for some reason seems to have been stopped at the Fingerpost boundary), but I don't think I'll bother now!
