A GLAZEBROOK archaeologist searching for buried treasures has come away empty-handed despite help from Channel 4's Time Team.
Enthusiast James Balme attracted the interest of Tony Robinson and his crew after years of successful digging at a site in Warburton.
But despite digging the biggest trench (480sq m) in the history of the show, which was aired last Sunday, they didn't find the Roman artefacts they were looking for.
Time Team says its least productive dig' was because the fields had been stripped bare by metal detector enthusiasts and fieldwalkers over the years.
