PAUL West labelled his players a "disgrace" and an "embarrassment" after Tuesday night's second successive home reverse.

The manager also threatened to "ship out" some of his players after watching what he termed "an awful performance".

"I can accept Saturday's defeat but tonight's was totally unacceptable," a disillusioned Evesham boss reflected after the 2-1 defeat to Willenhall.

"The players are living on past headlines and you can't do that. I said to them before the game that they had ten games in which to make their season so they obviously don't want to succeed.

"I will be having a look at things this week and changes will be made," the manager concluded.

One change West will need to make at Cinderford on Saturday is in goal as Nathan Vaughan begins a four-match ban. The manager has drafted Karl Lewis into his squad and he will be vying for the goalkeeping jersey with Ross Sanders and Paul Dipple.

On paper, the Robins have the easiest run-in of the top eight sides with only Woodford United from the top half of the table to play.

However, nothing can be taken for granted after the woe against Willenhall and a maximum haul from Saturday's trip into the Forest of Dean and next Wednesday's short trip to Bishops Cleeve (7.30) is an absolute must to get their play-off hopes back on track.
