Woodley Sports 1 Warrington Town 1.

TOWN ended a run of five successive away defeats with a creditable draw in Ian Street's first match in charge on Tuesday.

Town had crashed 4-2 at home to the same oppponents on December 30 but were able to hand a debut to former Atherton LR striker Phil Howard, who caused Woodley problems.

John Bluck came off the bench to replace the injured Dave Tickle at half time and put Town ahead from close range in the 76th minute after reacting first to poor handling by Woodley keeper Danny Higginbottom.

The home side equalised three minutes later through Daniel Douglas-Pringle and Higginbottom then kept out another Bluck effort to keep the score at 1-1.
