A major scheme, admittedly not yet complete, but already showing signs that it will be an expensive white elephant.
With today's car suspension systems, speeding driver's do not fear humps and continue at high speed into the village.
It would have been better to spend the money on pedestrianisation of the village, which would result in increased trade as residents, visitors and even tourists take the opportunity to shop or dine in safe and pleasant surroundings.
Instead, we have to endure lumps and bumps with daubs of white paint and extended white triangles, that result in an environmental eyesore and do nothing to solve our problem.
