POLICE are not linking the discovery of a man's body in South Oxfordshire with the grisly find of a woman's body in Buckinghamshire.
The body of a man who had suffered serious head injuries was found by a passer-by in Ipstone, near Wallingford, South Oxfordshire on Thursday, exactly one week after a motorist uncovered a rib cage in a lay-by at the side of the A40 in Beaconsfield. Parts of a woman's skeleton were found scattered in undergrowth between the Wilton Park and Pyebush roundabouts and the police's strongest clue so far is a green hairclip found at the scene. Officers are unable to reveal the cause of death but are treating it as 'very suspicious'.
But police say there is no connection between the two incidents and are appealing to people to try and remember any suspicious activity in the area. A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "We are appealing to people in Beaconsfield to come forward and give us vital information."
