RESIDENTS have voiced concerns that a special railway event being held over the bank holiday weekend will cause major parking problems.
Bank Holiday Monday, August 27, is Silly Hat Day on the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway where, once a year, all the volunteers who run the railway dig out their silliest hats and come down to Chinnor to welcome passengers with a big smile.
Any child who comes down on Monday wearing a silly hat will get a free ride.
Fares for adults are £5 and senior citizens £4, and there is no need to book in advance.
But residents who live near the railway are getting annoyed with inconsiderate drivers who block driveways on event days.
Chairman of Chinnor Town Council, Lyn Mumford said: "We ask people to be responsible. The facility is there but if people abuse it and are not responsible, it spoils it for everyone."
