WODYS is the youth section of Worcester Operatic & Dramatic Society. Each summer the group perform a musical at the Worcester Swan Theatre. In recent years their shows have been a sell -out so pencil in 31st July to 4th August if you want to book a seat for their 2007 production - The Hot Mikado.
This is a jazzed up version of the Gilbert and Sullivan favourite and is set in the ? America. The musical orchestrations are of that period, so it's a time to tap your feet and 'swing man, swing!' The story line is based upon Gilbert's original text so G&S devotees shouldn't be alarmed. Come and see it for yourself.
WODYS members' are busy learning a set piece of dialogue, dance and a song from the show. In- house auditions for principles and chorus take place on the 3rd February.
