AGE was no barrier for a group of budding swimmers when they took part in a town gala.
Youngsters at St Andrew's CofE First School in Barnt Green made quite a splash when they took part in the Bromsgrove Schools Swimming Gala, which was held at the town's Dolphin Centre.
The school entered children who were aged between seven and nine and they still came away with medals despite swimming against children who were older than them.
"They did lots of different strokes and distances," said the school's acting head Sophie Rowan.
"It is something that the school has not done before and they did very well," she added.
