AFTER their first win in five attempts, Welling welcome Eastleigh to Park View Road.

Although the south coast club are at the wrong end of the table they are on an impressive run of just one defeat in eight outings.

Since a terrible start to the season, the appointment in December of former Southampton skipper Jason Dodd as manager has changed their fortunes.

With this in mind, Wings boss Adrian Pennock is not expecting an opposition performance which reflects their league position.

He said: "They are in a very false position and it is going to be one of the hardest games of the season.

"They are not going to be easy at all as they are a very good team from the back to the front."

When the Wings went to Eastleigh way back in August, Che Stadhart, Des Boateng and Jamie Day scored in a 3-1 win.

Tomorrow, Welling are still without the injured Steve Harper and Ellis Green although Martin Carthy and Steve Perkins are back in contention but Pennock is looking to the 12th man as well.

He said: "We need the fans on our side as they have been all season. They know everyone is trying and they appreciate we're having a very good season.

"Win lose or draw they are there behind us, even at Dorchester on Tuesday evening we had fans and we put in a fantastic performance to get the three points.

"But for the fans to be there on a Tuesday evening is major commitment."

His team go into tomorrow's game full of confidence after a hard-earned three points at Dorchester.

Pennock said: "It was thoroughly deserved, Jamie (Turner) did not have a shot to save, he did not get his jersey dirty once which showed how well defensively we played as a team.

"I was very pleased although we should have killed the game off but I was pleased with the goal and pleased for Danny Kedwell because he and Tony Battersby worked hard all game.

"It made for a nice trip home."
